The Story Behind Our House Wine
We've bottled a favorite wine to share with our global creative agency and film production studio clients and friends. Here is the story behind our house wine, its label design, and the keys to its iconography.
What’s the Story
Behind WhereNext’s House Wine?
If you know the WhereNext Story, you know that it begins with founder Gregg Bleakney’s 18,500-mile bicycling epic through the Americas. Because our agency roots are in adventure travel, many of us are well familiar with weeks and even months of living on the road. Often these extended journeys are made special by the people we meet along the way. And what better way to celebrate our travel companions than sharing a bottle of wine?
This year’s “House Wine” is a single vineyard 2015 Columbia Valley Syrah from Washington State, bottled especially for our friends and family.
What’s the Story
Behind the Wine Label’s Design?
When our fledgling venture (pun intended), the YouTube series The Birders Show, needed a logo, we turned to artist Scott Partridge, a prolific illustrator of birds in a mid-century graphic style. We so loved the resulting logo that we asked Scott to create the iconography for a non-traditional regional advertising campaign for Merrell. It was a hit, and since then, we’ve looked for other opportunities to take advantage of his considerable talents.
To our clients, partners, and friends: cheers and thank you for your support, partnership, and trust on this creative journey.
