Our Top Film Projects in Spain

Spain is one of our most beloved filming locations. Our Spanish production company has worked for top-tier clients like H&I Adventures, World Nomads, Experience Plus, and CAT Footwear, and in many regions of Spain, including Madrid, Catalonia, Andalucia, and Valencia. Our projects have included everything from urban fashion shoots, to rural cycling adventures, to food documentaries.

Check out our top Spanish video productions below and learn more about how you can work with our Spanish production company:

Cat Footwear – Valencia

Valencia’s laid-back, multicultural vibe makes it one of our favorite places to shoot in all of Spain. So when Cat Footwear approached us to the most important campaign in their history, the launch of the Cat CODE collection, it made perfect sense to shoot the campaign in Valencia. The city offered the perfect mixture of relaxed, urban attitude and authenticity, which synced up perfectly with the vibe of the footwear and the campaign.

See the case study, Creating the Most Important Campaign in Cat Footwear History HERE.

Our Spanish production company turned this campaign around from start to finish in less than two weeks: that included pre-production, shooting, and post-production of images, which the client needed for an important upcoming global conference. This limited timeframe gave us the chance to flex our muscles as a dynamic and agile creative agency with the ability to produce a project on the fly. The results speak for themselves: the Cat CODE launch was the biggest in Cat Footwear history, and we have since worked with Cat on multiple shoots on three continents.

H+I Adventures – Andalucía

We have a long history of producing cycling content, and our Spanish production company has regularly showcased the incredible cycling routes that the country offers.

“Andalucia – A Sensory Adventure” was created for our client H+I Adventures. This lyrical journey through Andalucia’s majestic Sierra Nevada Mountains took us from the highest peaks to the wild coastline, while passing through some of the most picturesque villages in all of Spain.

Our goal was to capture the mystical essence of biking through southern Spain. We combined poetic narration, in both English and Spanish, with video of our cyclists riding through some of the most untouched and romantic scenery imaginable. We dare you to watch the final video without feeling the urge to grab your bike and book a flight to Andalucia!

World Nomads – Madrid

The World Nomads Passport & Plate program is a scholarship for foodie travelers. It rewards winning applicants with “an opportunity… to go to a culinary destination, learn about the food culture and history and meet the people that keep the recipes and traditions alive...”

Our Spanish production company worked with World Nomads to produce a series of videos for their Passport & Plate program in Spain. We filmed eight videos in Andalucia, Madrid, and Catalonia with three different protagonists. From eating goat brains and blood sausage in Andalucia to pig’s ear in Madrid, it was an eye-opening culinary experience. It gave us valuable insight into the regional differences in Spanish culture and cooking.

Experience Plus – Costa Brava

Experience Plus has conducted award-winning bike tours in Europe and South America since 1972. In many ways, they are the archetypal WhereNext client: creative, energetic, in love with cycling and the outdoors, and committed to offering the best service imaginable. It was a match made in heaven. In this case, the cycling heaven of Catalonia’s Costa Brava.

Thanks to our Spanish production company’s work on ‘Off the Table,’ we already had extensive experience shooting along the Costa Brava. There was even some crossover in the productions: Experience Plus offers more than just cycling, and, as in ‘Off the Table,’ we shot sequences sailing along the dramatic Catalonia coast and sampling the local culinary delicacies. That’s what the ‘Plus’ in Experience Plus is all about!

Ciclismo Classico – Pyrenees

Ciclismo Classico has been offering their client “the dreamiest, most educational and amazing bicycle rides on the planet” since 1989 and we teamed up with them to produce a video about their Pyrenees Sea to Sea Tour. This epic 10-day tour features some of the best climbs in Europe, combined with overnight stays in charming little mountain villages. Throw in some of the most delicious cuisine and fresh cheese in the world and you’ve got one incredible tour!

Most of the route follows the France-Spain border on the French side, but there is also a section in Spain close to the village of Bagneres de Luchon. Our cycling production experience meant that even though we were filming some of the toughest climbs on the continent, we were more than up to the task. Ciclismo Classico calls this tour one of their most challenging due to the amount of time spent in the saddle. But for a team of hardcore cyclists like WhereNext, this project was like playtime!
